The ACT Race twin disc kit is a true, bolt-in kit with no modifications needed. The Race twin disc kit features sintered iron discs for maximum holding capacity and quick shifting. ACT Race twin disc kits meet SFI Specification 1.2 and are legal in all racing organizations that require SFI certification. ACT twin disc kits offer twice the number of disc surfaces for better wear, heat capacity and long life compared to single disc kits. These kits use a proprietary positive lift floater system design which results in quiet operation with no floater rattle and no posts to wear. With an ACT twin disc, also there is ability to adjust for compensation of disc wear and provides equal disengagement for discs. All ACT twin disc kits include a CNC-machined and dynamically balanced flywheel to ensure trouble-free installation and operation. Exclusive four-stage, heat treating process performed on all diaphragms. ACT’s sintered iron race discs offer the highest torque capacity of ACT race discs and have ultra-high heat capacity. Sintered iron discs are recommended for cars using clutchless shifting or drag racing transmissions. ACT sintered iron race discs feature top grade rivets to securely fasten the part together. The rivet design and rivet materials are carefully selected for maximum strength. ACT sintered iron discs are extremely durable and heavy, and have very harsh engagement. All ACT race discs are certified as meeting SFI Specification 1.1 and are legal in all racing organizations that require SFI certification.
